Cape May Thistle Regatta, 1959

The Cape May Thistle Regatta was held August 8th and 9th at Cold Spring Harbor with challenging weather including rain and shifting wind. Though a severe thunderstorm prevented completion, the regatta provided memorable experiences including a rain-soaked first mark encounter and various sailing mishaps during the challenging conditions.
